Privacy

LegalForge is operated by Heron Networks LLC. This page says what the site stores and where; it is written from what the code does.

The free privacy policy

It is built inside your browser. The answers you type are not sent to us unless you press “Create hosted link”.

Hosted copies

When you create a hosted link, or generate through the paid service, we store the answers you gave (business name, website address, contact email, country and the data practices you ticked), the generated text, and the email address you entered, in our database on Cloudflare. We keep it until you ask us to delete it through Contact.

Accounts and payment

A subscription creates an account from the email address on your Stripe checkout. Stripe collects and holds your card details; we never see them. We keep your email, plan, status and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Your API key is stored only as a one-way hash, so we cannot read it back.

Cookies

One cookie, lf_access, set only after you sign in or subscribe, to keep you signed in for 30 days. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

What we count

We count events (a document generated, a hosted page viewed) with the document type and plan. These counts carry no IP address or name. Cloudflare, our host, sees request addresses as any host does.

Messages

Messages sent through Contact are stored with the email you give so we can reply.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data. It is processed by Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Stripe (payments).
